Post subject:  Pushblocker Backhand Serves

I like the around - the neck-arm swing, that these pushblockers use with their BH serves:




Do you think it has an advantage compared with, let's say, Jennifer Wu Yue's BH serve which is served chinese-style, from hip level?

I think one of the main advantages of the backhand serve is you are already in position.

I use the backhand serve to serve underspin into the opponents forehand and to get them to move away from the backhand corner, preventing them from opening up with their forehand from the backhand side. That way, I get the opponent to move to the forehand side and then I can aggressively push with topspin into their backhand side. THis produces a low arc, fast topspin ball into the opponents backhand which is very difficult to handle for many players.
