What undetectable secret signals do you use as a player (or coach) during a match ?
Be honest I know most of you do it.

Like such as the coach touches his / her nose or maybe pretends like he is reaching out to a
player second to his left or there is a secret spectator in the stands that sends you instruction signals

Are there hidden secret transceivers available that you can use during a match to communicate
with your coach ? Like say you pretend like you are talking to yourselves but you are actually
talking to your coach and they respond in kind back thru the transceiver. On the flipside , are there
interceptors that capture the electronic communication between your opponent and coach ?

Also what if table-tennis allowed non-stop coaching during the whole match like in basketball or football etc .
Would it not create more drama for the spectators ? Is table-tennis like some holy sport or something where
we have to follow so called tradition & all these meaningless etiquette ?

Not most of us do it but yes it happens in high level kids and adult matches. Although I must say this happened more often when we were still playing to 21 points. Now with the shorter sets there are more coaching moments in between sets.

Besides that it is more effective to know what your opponent plays like before the match starts. Whenever I am coaching a team I take notes about the opponents noting strong and weak things.

I don't use them, and don't know anyone that does. Of course a lot of players don't have their own coach.
I'm not sure how much benefit it offers to coach point by point. A coach can always call a time-out when he wants to advice their player.

Are you are referring to allowing continuous coaching during a match ?

So what if it is ( Shenanigans ) . As long as it helps make the sport popular but legal

Even supposedly illegal stuff like betting had been recommended for making the sport popular.

So what if Hansi Cronjie & Azar are banned for life. It only made cricket only more popular LOL

Sign: Coach picks his left nose and discards the contents right in front of him...

Meaning: Serve short to FH side

Opposing coach catches this signal and protests. Coach simply claims he was careless about personal hygiene...

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines (AP) Viktor Korchnoi played Anatoly Karpov to a hard-fought draw in their world chess championship match Thursday and later accused the reigning champion of possible subterfuge by yogurt. The Russian defector Korchnoi charged that his Soviet opponent may have received a secret signal from his advisers when a container of yogurt was delivered to him toward the end of the game - the second of the competition and the second to end in a draw. "It is clear that a cunningly arranged distribution of edible items to one player during the game emanating from one delegation or the other could convey a kind of code message," Korchnoi's delegation said in a formal protest lodged with the organizers. "Thus, a yogurt after move 20 could signify 'We instruct you to offer a draw' or a slice of mango could mean 'We order you to decline a draw' or a dish of marinated quail's eggs could mean 'play knight to knight' five at once' and so on," the letter said. The protest, delivered to the match's chief arbiter, LotharSchmid, said the Soviet delegation passed the yogurt via one of the arbiters, who was not named.

no need for signals just talk in a different language the whole time

I don't think there is too much of thr seceret codes going on, for 1 thing the coach is only at one end so every second game his player can't see the coach

on a side note I have always wondered if coaches (in doubles only) have ever told their player what serve is coming by doing the same hand signals of the serving doubles pair
