We already kicked around a couple of possible retriever style players in the welcome thread. Let's come up with some more.

Mikael Appelgren was already mentioned.

Secretin, Maze, Mizutani. Even Samsonov could be seen as a retriever to a degree.

Maze has come up recently as playing some sort of retrieving style on my table tennis. He is recovering from injury or operation and is coming back apparently.
