My basic observations..
1. Topspin players usually need time to set up and execute. Flat hits can be good for speeding up the rallies and getting the ball to them before they are properly set.
2. Attacking shots with little spin can often upset their rhythm and make them put the ball off the table because of the lack of spin.
3. Often, topspinners have difficulty smashing and driving high balls. Their stroke goes up instead of through the ball and they put the ball over the table. (Practice hitting through the ball on the higher balls.)
This is mainly what I see at the improver/lower league level but I see it in other players, too.
