Anyone has tips on how to loop against relative fast no spin ball? It could be from a well placed long serve or from a counter drive. I don't have a way to loop this ball consistently. I'm not sure which part of the ball to make contact and at which height (?).

I can block it back but that what my opponent looking for, they put away the next ball.
Thank you.

Im not quite sure what you mean. If it is the speed which bothers you then you will have to work on recovering faster and getting into position earlier. For now aim to hit the ball around the top of the bounce. The angle of your bat and the plane of your swing is just something you will work out as you improve and get more experience. Im guessing you just have to do a lot of loop to block practice.

Yes, It's the speed that bother me. For under spin ball, I have enough time to set up my loop and graze the ball. When the ball has no spin, travel fast and stay low, it becomes harder to time the contact for my loop.

I know exactly what you mean teiid and this is a serve that despite really having nothing tricky about it, i have struggled in the past. I'm not quite quick enough to get a good swing at it, so have tended just to block and often into the net. In the end i decided to chop these against a particular opponent and it worked out ok as he's not very aggressive but against another, unless i can put heaps of spin on it, he just hits through it. I simply have to get better at fast returns as when i do it puts me in control.

As Carbon said, you got be in position. it is a mistake to try to go for a huge swing, unless you are there and can time it. Why risk that? You already got the speed of the ball to borrow from. The key to it all is seeing what is happening and taking your step to be there ready in good stance waiting or at least on time. If you have bat in ready position, then you are ready to use a 50% power shot that will result in a nice little fast loop. You can also go for less power and graze it a little more and try to land it deep.

Whatever you do, your recognition and step have to be there. If you take it easier than you think you want to on power, you will land it. many players think they have to hurry up and make a fast swing to get a bat on this ball. What a player really needs to do is make a quick step and keep their bat ready to go into action.

Der echt is ker echt. Get in position asap and have your bat ready asap. Dont move AND THEN get your bat ready - you dont have time for that. Rather, move into position and land with your bat ready. ie do both at the same time.

Thanks everyone for advice.
Yes, i was rushing too much to return this shot. It works out well when I try to take a step back to prepare for the loop, wait for the ball a little longer and brush with heavy topspin.
I haven't tried chopping but i think that's a good option as long as you can add heavy backspin on the ball.

i treat slow no spin balls like little underspin
when no spin ball is faster u can treat it less than underspin in slow no spin
when bouncing table will give it a little spin, so when ball is faster it will give more spin

well it works for me
