Is there any coaching video available on how to serve fast and ultra fast top and no spin serves out of a pendulum type motion? Thanks.

Also any advice would be helpful.

If you concentrate on 3 things, you can have a VERY fast serve.
1) The ball should contact your side of the table no more than 3 inches from the end line of the table.
2) The ball should contact his side of the table no more than 6 inches from the end line.
3) The ball has to just clear the net.
If you fulfill these three things, you will find a very fast serve. Have someone watch where your ball is actually contacting the table and by how much it clears the net. You might be surprized you are not even close to the end lines. You might be surprized to find out you are clearing the net by inches. The reason for aiming for the endlines is you want the "longest runway" possible. If you come close to both endlines andjust clear the net, you WILL have a very fast serve. Serve should be topspin for MAX speed but a pretty fast chop serve can be done following the 3 points above. It is harder than you think and you do need someone to watch actual contact points for you. You will probably find your first attempts are hitting his side 12 to 18 inches from the endline or 12 inches in from your endline. This is LOSS of speed. Hit FASTER but keep it low. :)

And be sure that, if you attempt that serve, that you set it up well, by giving them a mix of other serves that are either short, so they're leaning in, or spinny, so they're expecting something else that's long. This can be very effective, especially if you set them up with long back or side spin serves and then do a fast, deep serve that uses the same motion, because they won't be able to read it properly. I like to alternate doing this type of serve either deep to the backhand, or right into the crossover point at the elbow.

There's a great video by Coach McAfee in the video section. Here they are again. I think the fast serve lesson is in part 2.
