OOAK Table Tennis Forum

I have enabled the ability for posters to upload images into their posts:

When you start a new post or reply to another post, underneath the space where you type in your message, you'll see an area called Upload attachment
If you click on browse, it will allow you to select a file from your computer. Once selected, click on add the file and it will be added to your post.

I've currently limited it to images only, and for file size up to 250kb, which is plenty for most images. I suggest you save your files as a .gif or a .jpg as this compresses the files quite well, which not only saves space but also speeds up loading.

This should be a lot simpler for everyone, as you'll no longer need to use sites like photobucket to upload your pictures.

This feature was disabled a few years back, since it was putting too much strain on the server. However since the forum now runs on a much bigger and faster server, I don't think it will be an issue anymore.... but I'll monitor it. Even if the feature needs to be removed at a later stage, all images already uploaded will remain, so the forum will remain intact.

I think this is a good move and should make things easier when just posting a quick pic. I look forward to trying it...when I have a pic of interest

There's a nice little freeware program called "Easythumbnails" which is very simple to use and great for shrinking the size of pictures down. I used it for my avatar.

There are times I gave up the idea of uploading pictures/images in this forum, as I was lazy to pre post them other image hosting sites. Now I may post pictures whenever necessary.
