OOAK Table Tennis Forum

I've installed a new feature in the forum, that allows member to to thank other people for post, without having to post anything. I'm sure we've all come across some really great posts and wish to show the author our appreciation, but often we don't know what to say, or it's been said already. Well now you can thank the author for a post, by a simple click of a button.

This new forum modification features the following:

1. Allows you to thank a member for a post, without having to post anything. At the bottom-right of any post, you'll see a little thumbs up button like this:
Click on it, and you'll give a 'thanks' to the author, and at the bottom of his post, they will see who's thanked them for their post.

2. At the top-right of the screen you now see a thanks toplist" link. If you click on it, you'll see a list of the topics that have received the most thanks. This is useful to check, as any topic that received a lot of thanks is likely to be worth reading!

3. If you click on a member's profile, you'll see the number of times a person has thanked, and has offered thanks, see here:

The team in the OOAK Forum Development section has fully supported this new features , and personally I think it's a great way to show other members your appreciation for their effort. So I hope you all support this, and start using it when you see a post you appreciate.

NOTE: I think it's great if people start using this feature, although I would suggest members only use it for posts that they really appreciate, coz if you use it for almost every post you read, it tends to lose it's meaning.

I was going to "thank you" for your OP on this thread, but no, I do not see the thank you icon, only the "report this post" icon.

And its not even showing up on the Mod's screens. The Thanks Toplist is, and so are the stats in the user details. But no way to "Thank".

I clicked the only icon on the bottom right and nearly reported Glenholder for illegal spam ,hahahah I never knew what that icon was for , I could have used it lots of times

Now I just saw another one with a x on it and you can delete your own postz , I should look around more, next thing you will say is that we can do private messages

I can see the Thanks Toplist and open it, but no thumbs up by a post to actually say thanks.

When I click on the

Has thanked: 1 time
Been thanked: 1 time

options in someone's signature I get the message "You are not authorised to view the Thanks List."

Maybe if I'm not authorised to view the "Thank List" I'm also not authorised to "Thank" someone, hence no option is visible in the posts.

Perhaps the permissions aren't fully completed - hence I can only see the "thanks Toplist"
