OK, we are going to let PRW catch up his games and show his worth. This time it's against So_Devo at the other end of the table. Let's see how he fares there.

Gents send me your words if you're up for it, or an excuse if you're not and I'll change the players.

The next game should be a little quicker because the players' timezones are closer together. 8)

Next Game: Oskar v Reb. PRW are you up for an umpiring job?

The league ladder has been moved into the start of the thread for easy reference.

Oh, a match against me and the mighty Reb. I will PM PRW with a NEW word ... not the one Reb already has stored for another future game. Now, let me consult my great book of VERY difficult words.

Can I just say that I'm having cost issues with the online Mirriam Webster dictionary. Recently I've been using it to verify words I've found, but it asks me to start a 14 day free trial. This is unacceptable in this day and age. I normally use unconditional dictionary sources like the Free Dictionary [http://www.thefreedictionary.com/] or Dictionary.Com [http://dictionary.reference.com/]. Can the rules be amended to reflect the cost effective nature of these resources, please?

Oskar suggested we run a league ladder for the TT Word game, so here it is as it stands. Looks ugly because a table is hard to do on the forum and get neat. I also still have to look up the winning margins which will decide who is higher on the table between equal point holders.

.........................Played...............Won...............Lost............Points............Winning Margin Total
So_Devo...............3......................3...................0....................12.......................21
Oskar...................2.......................2...................0....................8.........................15
Keme...................2.........................1...................1...................4..........................6
PRW.....................2........................1...................0...................4...........................6
Haggisv................2.......................1...................1....................4..........................5
Reb......................2........................1...................1...................4...........................3
Red_Lion..............2........................0..................2....................0...........................0
The Gamer...........3........................0...................3...................0...........................0

Sheesh, I better get my finger out and update this list. Or maybe because it's moving so fast I could do an update every 2 or 3 matches. Maybe a separate thread would be handy?

If it's easy PRW you might want to stick with the usual format:

PRW wrote:
? ? ? ? ? ? (Oskar's word) - 0
? ? ? ? ? ? (Reborn's word) -0

It's not difficult once you get the hang of it. What I do instead of repeating the code every time is hit edit on my last post and 'copy and paste' the section for the next update, just changing the details. Whichever way you decide is totally up to you. If you want assistance, don't hesitate to ask.

GOOD LUCK, REBORN!
