Any one from Melbourne here?

I'm going to be in town from mid of Jan.
Thought I can pop in somewhere and say hi.

Don't play much nowadays, but nothing wrong with meeting new friends through table tennis right?

Hi ZApenholder. I am in Melbourne. It depends on where in Melbourne you will be as its quite a large city. But if you get out to the South East my club at Dandenong re-opens late January. Be great to see you there.

Thats perfect. I believe I will be in Mulgrave, so not far from Dandenong.
Do you have details on the opening hours of the club?
Any fees for visitors?

Well, I almost had to go to Mel via Perth (due to flights), I did try to ask them to do via Adelaide, then I can stay over for a knock or two. I did try, I promise :D

It depends on which day you play. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday club opens at 6pm til around 11pm (10pm on Thurs), but competition play is from 7.30pm when all tables are taken (but you can sometimes fill-in for a team missing a player). Wednesday nights is open practice from about 6-10pm and a fee of $4 applies. Weekends there is usually a table available after about 1 or 2pm when training clinics are finished, and then available to 5pm. Again its $4 to play. I'm sure amongst all that we can find a time to have a knock. ;)

You need to go to Coburg to get a lesson from Carbonman, coach vs coach :up: .

Okay, I did some searching, found out where is Coburg now.
So what days/hours is the club available?

And what lessons should I get from Carbonman?
As long as I don't play against Pips - I am fine :rofl:

Happy New Year everyone!!

I'm landing in Mel on 19 Jan, and leaving on 4 Feb.

Just got schooled 3 days ago by the 3rd ranked high school team in Taiwan.
Tonight I will be training with even stronger players.

So how's ending 2013 with table tennis (hours before the countdown) :)
