he terminated us on the table

I found a picture of the true real-life Haggisv (on the right):

Wouldn't be at all surprised if this is Reb on the left:

This is what happens when you go for more than an hour without posting on a certain thread, Haggisv! :D

Well good people of OOAK, I am pleased to say I met Haggisv today. And we had a blast! In fact we had so much fun we forgot to do any videoing

But for those who read my Reb Report, you know you don't need a video for me to paint a picture of how it all went! Right?!!

I can tell you we had rather a lot of sets/games or whatever you call them. Maybe 15? Maybe more. And I did not win a single one! Haggisv held his metal against my dirtiest tricks (cos he has a lot of his own dirty pips tricks). Almost every set went down to around 11-8 or 11-9. I did take him to 14-12 in one set, but I simply couldn't get to the crucial place I'd fought and fought to get to. He is a class player, I'd say a good division above me, not a whole lot more. I've taken sets off stronger players than Haggisv, but the pip to pip rallies, of which there were a myriad, generally ended in his favour. And his loop attack is so consistent he rarely misses it. And he could re-loop my chopblocks off his loop, over and over...which few can do. I can't really think of a stronger pips player I've played.

On a different day, perhaps I would have turned some of those 11-9's into wins, but not today. It was probably due in part also that I don't play my best when I know there's a video camera on me .... :o  ....Oops, the cat's out of the bag. OK. I'll come clean....we did do some video, but I have a lot of editing to do before I could even get any to upload....but I figure its taken 10 years for such a thing to exist, what's a few more weeks? :P :P

Watch this space and I might be able to put up some bits and pieces when I work out how to edit vids on my phone (which I've never done before).

The thought of seeing this video is exciting!
From knowing how good you both are from others posts about playing you, I really want to see it and take what I can learn from both of your techniques.
I love watching strong LP players and seeing what I can adopt.

 Brave.

Upload the video to a folder in google drive and share access to that folder with me. I'll download the videos, edit them and upload them again to the OOAK YouTube channel. It should only take me a few hours. Problem solved.

For a small fee I can also edit the endings to suit your needs - like all good holywood films there have to be alternative endings to suit pre-launch restricted viewing feedback

Reb and I had a great time indeed... so great meeting a friend I'd known online for so long online but never actually met!

Reb is strong and dangerous with the pips... I'd say he uses them better (and more) than I do. He blocks really well, getting great angles, really moving me around and forcing me to keep looping, game after game. If it wasn't for my forehand, results would have been different... not that results really matter, as we just loved every minute of our games. Balls were swirving around the air all over the place, good dirty fun!

Eagerly await the video action of two long pips icons of this forum and as haggisv rightly says 'result does not matter'

That's a pretty good offer – do it this way, Reb!

Hoping Debater can add some appropriate theme music, Rocky or Chariots of Fire, perhaps? :P

Actually, there was music playing in th background at the TT place...maybe not Chariots of Fire though  At the time the music wasn't all that evident or noticeable, but it comes across in the vids.

And as much as I trust Debater to do a great job, I'll see what I can do first. The videos actually sent my phone SD card to full, and so I am having to do some major management just to get them off it and manipulate them.

And everyone must remember, pips to pips is an Ugly game :P
