There is an empty space now where he used to be.

He was one of the posters I first noticed here, even before registering, i.e. my "lurking days". I did not notice him because he was a frequent poster (he was not), but his input was always thoughtful and with a positive attitude, contributing something his fellow man, and fellow player, might grow from. That is mainly what made him stand out and be noticed.

So, when I look closer, the space is not entirely empty. Thanks Jim. I never really knew you, but still you gave me something. You made a difference.

For those of you who knew him better, I'm sure the empty space is more prominent. In time I hope that you will find that space less empty. He is still with us, in all the things we remember him by.

Seems like everyone has put their comments of condolence here now. Jim's memorial has been written and entered on the In Memory page.

I'd like to add my own final condolences here now as I felt Jim was such a good friend, though we never had the chance t meet....as is the case with many online friendships that are made in social media settings these days. Jim was a spirited man in so many ways, you could feel it in his words, in his photos and video's, bot on the forum and on facebook. He was also a jovial man and I feel we had a similar sense of humour. He was obviously also very busy as he had wound down his social media activity in the last few months of his life. We were the lesser for it, but I'm sure his family and congregation felt the extra he gave to them, and of course that was important. Almost like he had a sense he had to do this while he still had time. You were a fine man Jim, I will always remember you this way. I am glad to have had your online acquaintance and sorry to have never physically met. I'm sure your love will carry on with your famiy and friends through eternity.
