Ahh yes, that's related to 'search' being disabled for 'guests' (or people not logged in). Search puts quite a strain on the server, because the database is so large, so I've temporarily disable it for 'guests', so that bots don't bring down the system. I'll give it a few days till things settle, and I'll revert it back to normal. Thanks for the reminder ;)

I'm so glad the site is up and running again... I just hope there isn't anyone unable to access the site due to the extra security measures. :( :( :(


Don't know if Google indexing bot is included in the 'ban' - you probably still want them indexing your site so that it shows up in search results in the place it deserves.

A good thought, and yes the Google bot can definitely index the site, and has access. :up:

"view active topics" is working now for me without having to be logged in and I don't get a security warning telling me the website is an "unsecure connection". This was happening before when the website started going slow.

Thansk Debater, that's very interesting... I know that Cloudflare encrypts all traffic to and from the website, so perhaps this is now giving an extra level of security, so the browser no longer sees it as insecure. That's a bonus, because a few people reported the warnings as annoying, which made me look at making the site run completely under https. So perhaps that's no longer necessary.

MS Edge took a real long time, like .05 seconds to load... OOAK's ISP server & the world network must be getting slow.

I'm very impressed with Cloudflare, should have installed it a long time ago. You can stop most DDoS attacks with the flick of a switch, and performance has improved significantly. The load on the server has also reduced a lot, as a lot of data is served from caches in most countries.

Fixed. Thank you ever so much. I'm really happy to use OOAK Forun via Opera Mini proxy.
