OOAK Table Tennis Forum

The 'hardly used' Manufacturers section has been renamed to "Manufacturers, suppliers & retailers ", and will be a dedicated setions for annoucements, discussions and feedback between members and manufacturers, suppliers and retailers.

In order to take us one step closer to a completely independent and unbiased forum, the former 'OOAK Shop' has been moved into a subforum of this section. To be fair we will allow any other reputable retailer there to request a subforum section for them as well, where they can also ask for feedback and announce new products, etc. Request will be accepted if the MOD team (excluding 'me' as to remain unbiassed) feels they are reputable retailers and are of large enough size to justify a dedicated section. Other retailers/suppliers can still contribute in this section, just not in a dedicated subforum.

This change will:

1. Finally remove the OOAK shop section which really has no place in an independent and unbiassed forum and takes up quite a lot of space in the home page.
2. Will hopefully generate more interest in this section, as people discuss topics with suppliers and retailers as well.
3. Might encourage some suppliers to announce new products, which can be a valuable asset for members.
4. Feedback and Q&A section can be a valuable resource for members to determine if the supplier is trustworthy and reputable.

To ensure this section does not get abused and seen purely as a free advertising space, we'll need to make some rules/guidelines that is fair to everyone.

I must say, I do like the option of having somewhere to click on the shop.

Yes, well that icon is still there (for now), but I was referring to the whole section, that used to be near the bottom of the main forum page.

It looks better now.

As you may have noticed, we have just added 2 more subforums in the 'retailer' section, one for Zeropong and one for Megaspin.
Both felt a section for them in this forum was worthwhile, and I've asked them to post an intro to tell members a little about these stores.

These will be the sections to read about their news and new products, and also a useful section for asking questions and posting your feedback from any dealings you've had with them.
