I am none happy about the Weight regulations as now adopted by ITTF, that 2.67 --2.76 grammes is now the "target" standards imposed upon manufacturers by the year 2016.
This given weight limitation is the especial aversion with all the ball manfcs involved, it is going to prevent manufacturers from making a better product.

Manufacturers can not produce good durable product under the limit 2.76g.., We certainly need the ball shell some more solid and thick, this is the only effective way to get the plastic balls more durable, you understand..

To get the outer sphere thicker needs a greater mass over 2.76 gramme, you understand.
This is the very reason for DHS to always insist on the heavier balls up to 2.85g.

Again, the heavier ball is the thing beloved so much with the most of players, for giving better keen feeling and better controlable play. Yes.
