How are people discerning whether a ball is made by DH or DFish?

I'm not, all my information is based on what I've heard from dealers and other people, some of which may be guesses...

The DHS factory should actually be Minkow (they were/are the OEM for a huge number of brands, including DHS) - however, now Minkow is pushing their Kingnik balls (which are made using the same equipment as XuShaoFa.. Very confusing!

MINKOW NOT LICENSED to RESELL THE MANY BALL BRANDS THEY PRODUCE, BUT KINGNICK ONLY ...
It is Minkow Mnfr which now contracted to produce all the seamless balls under many different brand names. TIBHAR, SHILDCRET, NEXY, STAG and some more.
According Production License Treaty, it is the brand owner who alone is entitled to distribute the balls under his registered name. And, on his part, the contracted manufacturer is disallowed to distribute the products unless with the brand owner`s permission.

This is the very reason that Minkow has now dramatically reduced their own offer of plastic balls on open marketplaces other than of their own brand KINGNICK.
So sudden disaster it is to the ordinar dealers like myself, Minkow is the cheapest source to buy, and now they seem to fall under the strict obligation not to trade more ball brands but their own KINGNICK.
Feel so unhappy. So badluck.

So are all three-star seamless balls the same (just private labeled)?

There's a ton of seamless balls now. XuShaoFa, Kingnik, Stag, Yinhe, Kokutaku, Nexy, Sanwei, Palio, iPong, Schildkrot, Tibhar, Xiom, Yasaka (just based on the ITTF list). Yinhe has two grades (reflected by two separate entries, two different ball markings), Kingnik has two grades (the only outward difference is the higher price and a sticker on the box!). Presumably they're all the same.
