Hi folks. I'm looking for more information on these products:

1. TSP Versal blade (flared handle)
2. 729 FX Lightening rubber
3. TSP T-REX rubber

If anyone's tried them or know of review sites can you please share your comments?

1. TSP Versal Blade. Particularly how it compares to the Juic Air Texa and Air Large blades? The Juic Air Texa is slower, more compact, and has a thinner, more slippery handle than the Juic Air Large (which I'm currently using and prefer).

2. 729 FX Lightening - how does this rubber compare to LKT Pro XT for spin, speed, control and sponge softness? I'm basically after LKT Pro XT but grippier. I've been adding Spinmax to LKT Pro XT which is probably helping. Is 729 FX Lightening really tacky like traditional hard sponge 729 Super FX? If yes, then it should be tackier than LKT Pro XT which would be ideal.

3. TSP T-REX is the top sheet actually tacky like a Chinese 729 FX or Hurricane rubber or very mildly tacky like LKT Pro XT? Is the sponge soft like LKT Pro XT or is it harder than that (I suspect it's noticeably harder). How does this rubber compare to LKT Pro XT for spin, speed, control and sponge softness?

2. SPINMAX AQUEOUS - does it take a full 30min to dry (even 15 min is a long time)? How long before you can play with it. Does it leave a "gunky" build up on the rubber? Does it enhance spin and is it better or worse than the original Heptane based Spinmax?

It only takes about 1min to dry, just like after cleaning your rubber with water with a sponge. It seems fine to use straight after... I've used it a few times and have not seen any buildup. I've been told you only get the buildup after excessive applications or if the Pad has been used for a long time and there is some buildup on there.

I find the effect very similar to the regular spinmax, but it's easier to apply since it does not evaporate as quickly, meaning your pad won't 'grab' when you're cleaning. You do need to shake real well before use (as per instructions) as the compounds in the bottle don't mix as well...

Since the pads stay wet for a long time (if you keep in the the applicator container) I would expect the aqueous to last longer too.

I'll be running some experiements to really compare the two, and alos against other cleaners, but since I've already used it a few times I'm quite happy with them.... I already made some comments in anoter thread on this;

Thanks Hassisv - I now see the spinmax aqueous thread on the second page and have removed it from my post. I take it we purchase the same cleaning pads for original and aqueous versions(?) as I can't see two types of cleaning pads for sale.

If you can comment on the remaining equipment by feeling sponge hardness etc. that would be appreciated.

I have used 729FX Lightening but cannot compare it with the one you ask.

Yes - it has the exact same topsheet as 729FX so it is very tacky. However, the sponge is a fair bit softer and a lot springier.

It is fairly slow.

The Lightening is indeed the FX-EL topsheet and the sponge underneath it is the identical sponge from the LKT PRO XT/XP. I use Lightening on my BH for one of my setups and prefer it to the XP. I have not tried the XT as of yet.

The pads used for the water based ones are thinner, since they don't need to hold as much liquid as it does not evaporate as quickly. The new pads can be used for either, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to mix...

Yes I'll comment on sponge hardnesses a little later...

Oops sorry silke, I forgto about this thread... Yes the 729 Ligtening sponge just feels and looks like a little firmer version of the LKT XT...nice feel and control but not that fast.

The T-rex sponge feels a little firmer, probably around 39deg or so. TSP give it a hardness rating of 6, but you can only use this to compare to their other rubbers.
