I would say that, although different in some aspects, the new Adidas line produces some rubbers similar to the popular Tenergy series. Adidas P5 is supposed to be similar to Tenergy 05, and Adidas P3 is supposedly the Tenergy 64 alternative. I am going to try them soon and will let you know.

The Donic Acuda S1 is a great alternative for tenergy05 or the S1 turbo for a bit more added speed. There are plenty of alternatives out there you just have to look. Xiom have a great range which some players use as tenergy alternates like the Omega IV Europe. Also the Yasaka Rakza series and Donic Bluefire is emerging as a popular rubber choice for attacking players.

You really think so?
A lot of players in my courses play Acuda S1 so I had a few chances to test it a little bit. It is a good rubber, no doubt, but in the way of playing totaly different from a T05.
And in my opinion it is the same with the other "alternatives" like Bluefire, Rasant, Sigma etc. They are all good rubbers, but cannot be compared to a Tenergy. It is not a big difference, but you can play a little bit more aggressive, a little bit more spin with a Tenergy.

But it also depends on the player's level if one can use the full potential of a Tenergy, because it is a challenging rubber that is not easy to control.
And although the prices are incredible high I still continue to play with Tenergy.

The major difference is that it's relatively easy to find comparisons in speed for Tenergy05 but not so easy to find rubbers which offer a high amount of speed but are similar in that they create more speed through spin.

I found that the S1 turbo is not actually faster than the S1, but it's certainly spinnier.

Actually think Adidas P7 is a lot like Tenergy 05

Rasant can be a substitute of Tenergy-80

Nope. Very different. Dawei is a Chinese pip (faster and more reversal) and FLII is a Japanese pip (slower and able to create more spin on its own)

I am very surprised to see Tibhar Aurus Soft listed as an alternative to Tenergy 64.

Tenergy 64 is the fastest Butterfly rubber if you exclude the Bryce Speed family, while Tibhar has rubbers that are much faster than the Aurus Soft.

Moreover, Aurus Soft is oriented to control and spin (among the fast rubbers) while Tenergy 64 is more for speed.

There must be some Tibhar alternative to Tenergy 64, but I'm not sure which one is the best.

The FX-P is probably closer to T64, although it's definitely softer. The MX-P is harder and faster. The EL-P is a different beast, closer to T05 IMO.
