Its a good poll, but it will get a lot of answers that depend on many factors.... eg. what rubber is used, what sponge it has, how often its played with each week, how hard the player hits the ball, how well the rubber is looked after, how it is cleaned, the players sensitivity to the rubber feel, the list goes on....

As just a general interest poll though, I'm sure it will get some interesting yet varied results. ;)

My Tenergy 05 lasted 3 months but not because its worn out. I accidentally damaged it when I tried to transfer it to a different paddle  .

Every 20 years or so (but then I changed my blade too, so I'm not sure if that counts).

Tried the old axe again after using the new setup for a good month. Yep, it's still in good playing condition, I wasn't just imagining things. I did some experiments with paraffin oil, though, so I guess the old rubbers are technically illegal for official tournaments.

While it does depend on what I'm using, how frequently I play and if I damage it, if everything is equal and normal I generally replace every 2-4 months for my inverted. For the pips, it's only when it becomes damaged.

I'm double-inverted, but change my forehand rubber more frequently than b/h. The FH takes more of a battering and the rubber type (a tensor) is less long-lasting. They last about 3 months tops.

Backhand rubber - Mark V or IQUL - gives a good 6 months service.

I would like to change every 3 to 4 months, but I just can't afford it. I usually replace my rubbers 2 weeks before the start of the competition, that's when I use the same rubbers. If it's completely different I will try it 3 weeks before the competition.

I think the amout of hours ussage is a big factor , we may change our rubbers once a year and play only once a week or like me playing 4 times a week so I now change more regularly, I actually never have any set times of usage , it more if something is interesting or I have a major comp comming up,
also forehand and backhand sides can vary alot with me

When I was younger I would keep the same setup for 5+ years

but now that Im in a lolley shop with 120 choices I may change more often me tinks

CSTT, I thought your rubbers were discontinued? Or have you stopped using JOW?

I have 3 blade set-ups I use regularly.

FH - use outlaw-I will change it every month if used heavy-earlier if damaged (by hitting the edge of the table, etc) and may last 2 months. I love a fresh new sheet and the price is low
BH-LP-I may try different sheets, but if I was to change it to get a new sheet I would be willing to wait 2 or 3 years easy as long as I do not break any pimples (and I never have)
