Hi All
I'm new member. I've started table tennis few weeks. i like to start with right equipment.
I found out Primorac blade with sriver 1.7 mm is a right selection to start.
Is it the best choice for first real racket?
But unfortunately Sriver 1.7 mm is hard to find here!
I've not bought the rubber yet and I need other option.
price doesn't matter!
Is there any other option with other brands (for rubber)?
All recommendation will appreciated...

mark v on both sides, can't go wrong with that. or LKT Pro XT in the FH and Coppa Tagora on the BH.

mark v is a good suggestion, with a 2.0 thickness easy to topspin, primorac has a little bit of stifness, 1.7 is a bit too thin a sponge imo, sriver is good also but in 1.9 sponge

The Flextra has good control... which is probably the main thing it's good at... it's not really special at anything else.

what about Donic rubbers? Is there any Donic rubber that match with sriver 1.9 to be good for start?
I will appreciated ...

I think for a new player flextra is an excellent choice. I'd say its not quite as bland as perhaps is suggested and the control will stand you in good stead. Mark V AD or GPS would also be very good. Not very familiar with the classic Donic rubbers.

Donic Coppa is quite close to Sriver, and also has a very good reputation.

:?:  I think that Donic Coppa is 20% faster than Buterfly Sriver, and it's too fast for a fairly new player. Waldner & Perrsonn won world championships with Coppa (that was SPEED glued to the max) and that shows that Coppa was a REAL DANGEROUS weapon in the hands of the world's best players. So I think it's too fast. I played with Coppa for 2 years after I played 10 years with Flextra and Tackiness Chop.

I had a new player come to my club, I suggested Butterfly Tackiness Chop, in 6 months he was smashing and looping :topspin: and was hitting a lot of balls past me. The slower speed of Tackiness Chop was still faster (and MUCH spinnier) than 98% of pre-made bats.

And..Butterfly Flextra is also a very good choice. A new player wants to hit the table, not blast balls over it!

I think Mark V is a great choice after someone has played twice a week for 6 months. Many Championships have been won with Mark V, we must remind ourselves that our new player here has played 1000 less hours than champions. I think it's too fast to start with.

According to donic catalogue I think I should try coppa for FH and coppa tagora for BH.
coppa = control 7- speed 8 spin 9+
coppa tagora = control 8- speed 7+ spin 9+

what's your idea?

Yes I think that's a good combination. Pick 1.8mm for both.

I like butterfly products. but i dont have experience with them. would you mind explaining more about Flextra behavior such as speed spin control blocking ... the angle ( high or low) etc...

Flextra is very efficient. It has medium speed. It is faster than almost any pre-made bat. You can hit good chops and topspins with it. It is 50% as spinney as high spin rubbers, (but 3 times as spinney as most pre-made bats) it has a throw angle that is a bit lower than medium, but it's throw angle is higher than Sriver. Flextra is not slow to a new player. I played a very good Chinese player who hit Backhand loops with Flextra that jumped off the table with side and topspin. (it is the players skill level that helps!) Flextra's medium spin makes it good for blocking and serve return. And it gives more spin than most Short Pip rubbers.

Most new players would try Flextra, then a minute later, try a faster rubber like Mark V or 1.9 Sriver, and then conclude that they can't yet hit the table with the Mark V or Sriver. Control, (the ability to hit the table when you are returning a fast shot) is what will give a new player confidence. That's why I recommend a "slower" rubber, remember, everything is relative, if you have been using a $20.00 pre-made bat, Flextra will feel FAST to you!

My advice might be NO GOOD if you are an advanced beginner. Then Mark V, or Sriver might be great choices!
