I'd go for the 729 FX Super Soft on both sides for now.

729 FX super soft is available at my local retailer so it would be no problem. So should I match it with Mark VAD ?
BTW my son is 28 years old, and for using slow equipment, there will be no problem because he can use one available at his friend's, and use the Gergely on other occasion. Only if he finds it really too fast and he cannot handle it, then I would buy a new and suitable one for him.

I think everyone thought he was a kid.well if you have a Gergely that your not using then hey give it to him and see what he does,at 28 if he does not like it then he should be able to buy his own blade

That's certainly what I thought. It would have helped if he gave the appropriate information. Two sheets of 729 FX Supersoft (1 red, 1 black)should work fine, no need to get more expensive rubber right now.
