Hello all, I want to glue some Palio Ck531a to a defensive sponge...I want to emulate Ma Te's rubber. As much as I tried to peal the kawa from a new P-1R, I couldnt' without damaging everything. Old P-1r comes off nicely.

Anyway, I'd like to purchase defensive rubbers in thin sizes 0.5, 1.0, 1.5. I know I've seen them for sale before, but I cannot find them. I purchased thin sponges from Coles, but they were very springy and fast. I want slowish sponges. Anywhere from buttersoft (FL3) to kawa sponge (P-1R) hardness.

Where can I get some? I'm in the US. I'll import if it's cheap enough.

Thanks, I'll look into that. Of course..the shipping. I would have to justify it by buying lots of other things. lol

Any others? I was hoping to find something on Aliexpress or something like that, but haven't. I know Bego uses a blutenkirshe sponge...couldn't find the sponge. Just the many rubbers with that name.

There is also this:

https://tt-maximum.com/shop/rubbers/sponge

Shipping is ~6$ (I tried single sponge on sale for 2$ and it came to 8$). Let me know if you need help ordering (they don't have english version of the site).

I switched to a Palio CK531A, exactly a week back .... I'm using the stock 0.6mm.. it's the one in the Blue Packaging...

Although, I'm yet in the process of getting used it, I can say that it does have a fair amount of dampening effect...

I've also got the OX version , which comes in the Yellow Packaging... It's brand new, and I'm yet to try it, so cannot yet compare the 2 variants..

Thanks! I am looking to do a thick sponge...like 1.2 to 1.7. Like Ma Te.

Try from home, it is an Ukrainian site, so who knows how strict your IT policy is.

I can see it.

It's just tabletennis11, and it's not Butterfly stuff (which would be blocked outside their country) so I can't see why it'd get blocked. What I'm wondering, though, is how one navigates to that item!

He meant tt-maximum link. As far as finding this stuff at tt11: go to rubbers and sort by price in ascending order.

Edit: Also, try searching for 'sponge'.

Yup, that did it. Not much use if you didn't know it was there already.. Wonder what brand it is.

Wasn't there someone in the US with a HUGE variety of defensive sponge? I remember a company called Air which had a sponge (supposedly more of a foam) with the name "UpUpUp"...
