In the clubs I play at in the SF bay area I would guess about 15% use pips of some sort. Almost all of these are older players who hit/block with long pips on one side. There are only a handful of players who use pips for chopping away from the table. Hardly anyone uses anti despite the fact that it wreaks havoc throughout the intermediate levels.
