Just out of curiosity, how much would you pay for a china national team hurricane 3 rubber? I have a friend who has a red hurricane 3 rubber thats been used by one of the top players in china during a pro tour tournament. I offered him 250$ but he wouldnt sell.

Good thing he didn't want to sell it. I don't think it's worth it paying that much for a rubber, even if it's the genuine rubber that Ma Long himself uses/used. If you're looking for H3 to play with, most of the time the Commercial/Provincial version is more than enough. For hardcore Hurricane groupies, National (commercial) version is the thing to use, but they're paying the cost.

If you don't know the difference between the many versions of Hurricane 3, and by that I mean you can't tell when playing with them, which is what, don't go higher than the Provincial (commercial) version.

The only reason to pay that sort of price would be if MaLong had autographed it and it was in a nice display case.

I wouldn't pay that much either, unless he signed it right in front of me. But if I have the chance to have him sign anything for me, it would certainly be on a blade... :D

I've bought the national Neo H3 blue sponge from ttnpp for $98 100% genuine but even though it's factory boosted its still hard as a rock so used 2 layers of Falco long term booster.

The trouble is always knowing if it's genuine or not... even the retailers can be lied to by their suppliers.

National versions tend to be optimized for specific players... how do you know that it will be better for you?

Be careful boosting the rubber too much... even national versions can bubble, rendering it useless. :(

Isn't this "national"? "Only" $56.

Ttnpp or prott sell genuine national rubbers at about $98 £64 per sheet and you will also need to boost these too

I used to do multi ball with a coach with H3 untuned/unboosted, also without speedglue, so I can use various versions of H3 straight out of the packing. Not saying I'm better, but just had enough time playing with the "original". I tried speedglue, tuners/boosters before but decided that it just too much hassle, time consuming, and distract from playing. Without it I can play at a moments notice any time any day without worry of prepping for it or degradation of performance if waited too long to redo it.
