I've some experience playing with SP, but not MP or LP.
Does the colour of the pip rubber affect its durability? Do blue pimples break easier than the red ones of the same rubber?
Thanks.

I'm not sure about 'blue' , but I've not noticed any difference between red or black. Black does tend to be a little softer & grippier though, which is significant for most CHinese pips.

Dornenglanz (prone to pip breakage - its main weakness) is more resilient in red than black. I've not noticed a difference on any other pip.

May be I got lucky , but my sheet of black DG in OX only lost 1 pip in ~5 months of play (3 times a week, so 5-6 hours of play). No idea how black vs. red would perform.

I've tried lots of pips before and I observed red pips tend to break easier... Even got pip breakage in my red Alligator Def break in one day @_@ my red Blitzschlag got 7 pips with damages in a week of practice and one tourney.
