Hi , I just received bunch of rubbers

Blade = Yinhe LQ1 from colestt.com
Forehand rubber = Tenergy 05

Style = close to the table push blocker

New backhand long pip rubbers received today:

1. Spinlord Dornenglanz ii 0X

2. Spinlord Zeigest 1 mm

3. Yasaka Phantom 7 0X

All brand new

Which rubber would give me the most reverse spin and also good disturbance ?

DG 1 is better. I would ask them to replace it, but that is me. They are similar, but the 1 is really quite dangerous. 2 is a better option for choppers who want a little more attack options.

Out of the ones you named I've only used DG 1 (and 2). I can't tell you about the others... but...

I'm probably missing a couple, but the ones most people use on here are:

(ordered by price... i think)
755
388D-1
CC
DG
Talon
D.tecs

This may help you in deciding what to do... or you could look at highly ranked amateurs and Pros that use LP and if you like they way they play buy that pip and go for it (might be your next best question)... I believe the list is pretty similar to the one above. Though I think Bomb Talent might have to be on there...

If you are interested in exploring, I would read which ones sound best for the game you want to play, limit yourself to buying only a couple of these, see what works for you and your set up, then stick with one of them for a year or two or three... maybe longer. Don't just buy a load of

I used to use the w-6 with CC and its a good combo. Coles claims the lq-1 is just an oversized w-6.

I am thinking of going for this one instead of DG1. I rarely play far from table. I am a close to the table pushblocker.

What do you think of Spinlord-blitzschlag for close to the table play ?

Right now for me it is between DG1 and Blitzschlag.

By the way I love my LQ1 blade. It is a good blade.
Especially if you like Tomahawk serves with tenergy 05.

By the way , I am not a fan of Phantom 11 ( may be phantom 12)
Phantom 11 with 1.mm combined with defensive blade would give you a high throw return , easy to attack ( cos ball is high )

But if you WOULD like to smash with your backhand !!! e.g. play like short pips . This is the best rubber, 10x better than pogo !!!
It has long pip benefit , but can smash like short pips and short pip top spin. The down side is the chop block sometimes give high throw angle.

If you're a push/blocker, then anything in OX will almost certainly work better (better reversal) than a LP with sponge. Did someone recommend long pimples with sponge to you?

That's going to be mostly the rubber, not the blade.

You could Steam the sponge off the Zeitgeist and give that a try in ox,very good for close to the table,I have had a hard time against someone using this playing a pushblocking style his returns were very difficult to attack and lift and I ended up playing to his f/h even on serve which fortunately he wasn`t very comfortable with

Oh wow, how do you steam off the sponge again ?

I would definitely save me some money. I need to get off this long pip wasting money stuff. Every penny counts.

How long do you cook them ?

and roughly what temperature ?

To get the rubber off I used a steam iron and put damp tea towel over the pips, the heat melts the glue and you can start peeling the rubber away from the sponge, careful not to overheat and melt the rubber,`softly softly catchy monkey!`The only pips I tried this on that didn`t work was Feint 3 were too well bonded to the sponge

Thanks for the info.

I could tell you so far !!!

Yasaka phantom 7 is the best rubber for Push Blocker. Better than Old Grass D-Tec, Better than National Pogo, Better than Dornenglanz 2 , Better than Sword Scylla , Better than Giant Dragon Talon. It took them 1 year to research this rubber , initially I don't believe it. But now I do.

If I block the ball off the opponent loop, they would have no way of returning the ball on the first try. Its has a good flat return.

I destroyed my opponent who is a mid to long distance looper. Because the rubber allows you to take out his game by drop the ball pricisely short close to the table, then I swith to smooth rubber and backhand smashed him to death. The placement of the drop is extremly precise.

Best Rubber I ever had. I need to stock a few of this rubber.

No wonder John Weitzler uses it.
