I am desperately waiting for the first reviews of the rackets in combat... err, playing-mode.

:) I am going to a 2 hour coaching session on Friday morning, followed by a 1 hour session in the afternoon.
I will be using my Hadraw. I'll post my impressions after Friday.

This week I have been doing a lot of serve practice; 700 per day.
Along with multiball practice.

From these practice sessions at home, my impressions on the Hadraw are that it has a bit more speed than the Stiga Allround Evolution, with a similar feeling of control. This is a pretty even comparison, since the rubber on each of these rackets feel comparable (see signature).

Even though the Hadraw is an OFF- blade, compared to the Allround Evolution ALL+, they both feel very close in term of control.
As would be expected, the Hadraw has a feeling of more speed or "punch", but it doesn't feel to me that it gives up any control in exchange for that little bit of extra speed.
***keep in mind that the speed increase over the Stiga is only by a little bit.

My impressions so far are from multi-ball practice focusing on mainly forehand and backhand drive.

I have switched back and forth between the Hadraw and the Korbel, but they have different rubbers on them, so I haven't really focused too much on comparing these two.

I will be traveling to Phoenix, Arizona next week. While there, I am going to a tournament on the 29th and 30th.

I'm planning to use my Hadraw, so in preparation for my first tournament, I've been primarily focusing on practicing with it.
I have been using the Stiga as well, since I'll bring it with me to the tournament.
But most of my practice has been with the Hadraw.

I'll be sure and post my opinions after this Friday's coaching sessions.

And again after my first tournament. :)

Cheers,
Mitch

Cheers mitch! I'm guessing you're favouring the hadraw over korbel now?

I am at the moment.
I really want to develop some consistency with my swing,
And get everything dialed in.

I figure staying with the Hadraw and Shriver rubber might be more
Beneficial in that regard.

Establish a good base first, and then transition to the Korbel and
Rakza 7 rubber.

I do like the way that Korbel hits though. ☺️

Nice one Rokphish.

Today I alternated between the Hadraw VK/Shriver and Korbel/Rakza7 just to form some impressions on the differences.
The Korbel definitely hits harder. The ball punches off of the racket face with more authority than it does on the Hadraw.
Using the same swing, I was sending balls past the end of the table, compared to the Hadraw VK/Shriver.

After some adjustments to my swing I adjusted to the difference.

Keep in mind that this is likely due to the differences between the Rakza7 and Shriver as much as the blades, but there is a difference.

The Hadraw VK is between the Stiga Allround Evolution and the Korbel........but its closer in feel to the Stiga than it is to the Korbel.

Perhaps one of the other Hadraw variants is closer to the Korbel.
Or, it could be the differences in rubber. My guess is that this is the case.

For me, I will primarily use the Hadraw VK for my upcoming tournament. It along with the Shriver rubber gives me more confidence in my ability to consistently land shots on the table.

Going forward, I don't think it will be too big of a jump to develop some consistency with the Korbel.
It is nice to have the different rackets to compare to each other (how is that for EJ justification?)

Rokphish, I can see why you like the Korbel. It does have a certain "feel" that is very nice.
