Ok so I have 1.8 mm mark v both sides lent to me from a friend, to be honest, I'm not a huge fan and something about it feels different but it has made me a better player and liked it a bit more than my 1.5, I was using cream transcend 1.5 and I really liked it but it wasn't doing it for me and have better play with 1.8 mm mark v. I really want to stay as an all round player but eventually I feel like I have to give something since mark v is very balanced but not great at everything. I wanted to say what rubber to upgrade from this, but to be honest I don't even know for certain what my play style is other than all round. I really want to keep a 1.8 mm rubber so I can stay all round because I like to chop and wait for my opponent to top spin and hit it back quickly, or just underspin until someone messes up. But I also like to just top spin and get farther from the table(which I should probably stop doing since I have a 1.8 mm).

I generally really like to wait for my opponent to make a mistake, but I'm not sure if I want to be a defensive player, can a defensive player use a 2.0 mm and chop with it? I really want to stick to being all round but I know that I will have to give something either speed/spin/control. Can you be an all round player with a 2.0 mm or would you guys recommend a 1.8? What do you guys think about being an all round player or should you fall into being offensive or defensive? Do you have any rubber recommendations for an all round player or are the all-round rubbers on megaspin a decent choice to choose from? I looked into something like a Xiom Vega(not sure which one, Europe?), Maurder 2, Rakza 7/soft(don't know which),Rising Dragon 2.0, Mark V hps, Rakza 9, Baracuda, Donic Bluefire M3, or a coppa(no idea since there's many variations). Any help is greatly appreciated as I want to know if being all-round is all right of a choice or if I am just holding myself back, since rubbers tend to branch off into either or.
