When can you use your bat after glueing rubbers?

I wonder if he's asking about the "drying time" which is when you're waiting for the glue to dry before actually attaching the rubber to the blade. With water-based cements this can take a long time, but I use Elmer's Rubber Cement these days.

It depends what glue you use. Some you can use right away, and some might require you to wait a few hours.

Yes, i had interpretted the question as being 'after the bat is glued together'. However I think the drying times of water based glues are greatly exaggerated....either that or people are using far too much glue. Plus you can speed the drying process with a hairdryer.
IMO they are nowhere near as difficult to use as people say.

FWIW, I tend to use "Copydex" on sponged rubbers (I've just started using glue sheets on OX, which you can use immediately). I've used sheets I've glued within 15 mins, but I tend to prefer to leave it under something heavy (or in a press - I've made some) for an hour or two, if I have time.

+1 Copydex/Elmers/Collall rubber-cement fraction...

dry in less than 10 minutes, ready to play, in theory.
I use some weight (5-10kg) overnight on the blade before using it.
I will experiment with letting the rubber air out a day (or at least a night) first next time after glueing and maybe boosting the rubber before I glue the blade and assemble it.

if you are glueing with water based glue, you just wait until glue become transparent and then glue it...that is that...

and as so_devo said, you can hasten that with a hairdryer or i put the rubbers on the radiator now when its winter in europe...
