Your ripple is not actually that bad (I've seen worse). I have had it get like that even when I let it dry to full transparency. Uneven drying rate can cause it, especially if the glue is a bit old. Be sure to shake the bottle vigorously before applying. A second coat of glue can reduce it, but it still will happen occasionally.

Silver is absolutely correct too that you have to let it dry enough. Sometimes (often where I live) the glue takes longer to dry than it says on the bottle. It depends on a lot of variables. Temperature, humidity, glue age (which you can't know because you don't know how long it sat on the dealer's shelf). Vodoo. How much you put down.

Best thing is to you use your eyes, and when it looks like it is dry to transparency, wait a few minutes longer.

Thanks again for your replies. I'm just upset that I did follow the manufacturer's stupid instructions of waiting 5 minutes when it is apparently not really correct. They should just say wait til all the glue turns transparent and then wait a few more minutes.
