Hi, I am new to the forum, and am looking to make a racket. I have always played with prepare ones, but a friend at my TT Club advised me to switch. Ideally, I want to spend around $80 for a full racket, shipped in the U.S. Have a great day!

Any of the top 3 on the front page will be a good upgrade from a premade. For more (too much?) freedom of choice, browse Cole's "Rubbers" and "Blades" sections first, then pick your choices in the "Combos" section.

The only thing you may miss is the bragging rights that come with Stiga/Butterfly stuff. ;)

You could always go to 11 (search through Iskandar's posts if you don't know...), but in that case it will not be shipping from the US.

Paddlepalace is US based and offers blades and rubbers at reasonable prices, as far as I can tell. A Stiga racket can be had from around $70, and a Butterfly from around $100.

Nothing really wrong with the entry level blades and rubbers from Stiga and Butterfly, but for playing I'd rather pick up a YinHe W-6 with Air Illumina/Scirocco rubbers from Colestt. $70 with a racket cover. Better gear for less. (Don't pick my choice! Send a message to Cole Ely who runs colestt, tell him how you play and what you loook for. You'll get good advice. Or you could go to paddlepalace.)
