I haven't bought from Cole for years....it doesn't make economic sense from the UK.....but he is great. Just contact him and he will answer all of your questions.

If you do, know that you will have to shave down the wings near the handle or you will hate it. It will feel like the handle is 2". After sanding, you will love it. Great blade.

Many thanks for all your suggestions! Now that I played some time with both the Air Touch01 blade w/1.8mm Dawei 2008 pre-glued combo from Coles and the Sanwei with the batwings 729 2.2mm rubber, I definitely like the Sanwei better. Coles's rubber was really sticky at the beginning, which I loved, but the stickiness wore off after 3-4 hours of play. This paddle has a hollow sound to it in the sweet spot. Sanwei is a bit more offensive, no hollow sound, the 2.2mm 729 rubber is significantly livelier than the Dawei 1.8mm. I'm ready to buy a 3rd paddle and would like to try a pips in FH and pips out BH this time. Any suggestions on blade/rubbers?

Depends on what are you trying to do with pips on BH: if you still plan on attacking with BH, then short pips with sponge would be best. If you want to dabble in the dark arts of spin reversal and confuse your opponents with weird balls - then LP (either no sponge OX or 0.5 mm) is the way to go. You can also chop with them :).

To be honest, sounds like you simply want to try things out (which is fine) - if so, just order a sheet of pips (Cole carries quite a few cheap ones) and replace rubber on BH of one of your paddles. If getting OX LP, buy some glue sheets from Cole - he has them for 1$ a piece. Will save you lots of effort.
