Post subject:  Oshima Yuya's rubbers?
Hi people!
Does anybody knows what rubber used by Yuya Oshima on his Mizuno Fortius FT?
I am trying to complete the list of professional player eqipments here:

Unfortunatley, i can not find information regarding this player. :(

Interesting table. So Ma Long doesn't use a Hurricane Long V, Zhang Jike doesn't use a Zhang Jike and Fang Bo uses a Zhang Jike.. :lol: Note the near total domination (once you get past the first four places) of Tenergy (mostly 05).

Very impressive. Click on a blade, you get to see some info on it, but you also get links to players who use it. Same with rubbers. Try clicking on Tenergy 05.. :lol:

With recent asian championship, Fang Bo use his DHS blade that name after him.

A lot of Tenergy, esp. T05, in the list of the top-players, indeed, and kind of boring. How many of these players do need to pay for it, actually?

But maybe sales go down anyway for BTY so sponsoring could be reduced mid-term, meaning that the data will change significantly.

I'll bet a lot of them do. Some probably get their clubs or national teams or sponsors to pay for it, but past, say, number 40 in the world.. unless you're on a National team of a fairly rich nation or play on a Bundesliga team...

Both the Fang Bo Carbon and the Hurricane Long 5 are variants (mainly just in the handle) of the DHS W968, so they are both using their own blades. Zhang Jike has for a long time used a Viscaria, which largely accounts for its popularity I suspect, as well as the number of blades which bear remarkable similarity to it, but the names of different players.

As for use of Tenergy, most of the top players are sponsored by Butterfly, with DHS and Stiga coming next. The top English player is Paul Drinkhall; sponsored by Tibhar, so no surprises, he uses Tibhar blade and rubber.

In order to summarize my research i created table of popularity of brands among professional table tennis athletes:

As you can see, BTY holds 65.88% of this market (as for rubbers) and 61.88% (as for blades).
And i guess they will not stop on it. :D

You can never be sure what the players use, as they change regularly and it often depends on their sponsor at the time. All you can do is put in the latest info available, and update when you get new info (which you've done). :up:

BTW Koki Niwa uses the Victas Quartet AFC.

Yes, i am trying to copy all results from IMDb up to date. But this information is not always complete and accurate and they often mistype foreign names... :(
