Might be of interest to some, especially with the thin (1.5mm) option coming.

Text from a marketting email I received

"XIOM VEGA INTRO is now in stock ready for delivery! It's a new addition to the Vega series sitting between the MUSA and the VEGA EURO DF.

Ideal for the first venture into glue effect rubbers or the player who requires more control from a Tensor rubber.

It's currently available in 1.8, 2.0 and MAX thickness and will be available in 1.5mm from mid June.

Priced at only £26.99 it’s one of the cheapest Tensor rubbers on the market which makes it great value for money."

I have a sheet of this, which I bought a few weeks ago to put on BH in anticipation of receiving some Omega V Asia from a forum member for FH. I then, however, got some Omega V Europe from him as well at a very reasonable price, so that is being used. I plan to find an excuse to use it very soon though, although play around here has come to a pause as everyone vanishes to do summer-like things.

Hey-o! This is of tremendous interest to me. I have been searching for a 1.5 control tensor since this post:

Someone on mytt reviewed it here: http://mytabletennis.net/forum/forum_po ... N=1#980565

Apart from the marking on the topsheet (which does not sound normal), it sounds like decent Tensor.

I don't think marks are normal for out-of-the-package. My sample seems to look no different than other Xiom rubbers. The sponge is very pale cream, almost, but not quite, white.

Yes the sponge is another curious bit, the pictures from the Xiom website show this colour, definitely not cream:

Doesn't Xiom Vega and Xiom Omega both use black-carbosponge ?

Apart from this particular version, yes. Intro is cheaper, and stands visibly apart for this reason, I suspect.
