Seems perfectly fine for a beginner.

You can upgrade to faster/spinnier rubber when you progress, the blade should be fine for quite a while.

Ask the retailer to seal the blade (if they offer it), because you want to to last.

Ok so it looks like my original post is no longer there and it wouldn't recognize my username so I created another one. Any way here was the original post.

I am looking to buy my first custom racket and I have narrowed it down to two options. You guys tell me if either of these would work for a beginner and if one is better than the other. Or tell me if I'm just totally off base. I'm open to other options but would like to stay around $70. Thanks!

Option 1
Blade: Stiga all around classic
FH: J.M.S Evo 1 2.0
BH: DHS G555 2.2
Around $70 from paddlepalace.com

Option 2
Blade: Joola Falcon Medium
FH: Joola 4 You 2.0
BH: Joola 4 All 1.8
Around $70 from megaspin.com

Thanks!

I have no idea what happened to your post, but yes that's what I was responding to.

Do you think one of these set ups would be better than the other?

Not really. I would give mild preference to Joola one since it has 1.8 mm rubber on BH, which is a bit easier to control.

Also, if you want to save some money, any combos on front page of colestt.com will be excellent choices as well (34$-49$) - ignore the sandpaper one :).

Don't overthink it - it's not really about equipment at your level.

Stiga classic I believe is a softer feel. I've used the Falcon Medium and it's a hard feel. Really nice flared handle though. The Yasaka combo sounds good.

That Yasaka combo (#3) is a great deal. Go for it.

I vote for the Yasaka/Donic combo that BRS suggested.

Not sure if you chose different rubbers on either side, but there is little value in doing that on your first bat. Just get the same rubber on both sides.

"Joola 4 You"??? "Joola 4 All"?????? What are these???? And where can you get them???? (Not TT11.. I looked... )

For a beginner to maybe 1800 level this would probably work just as well as those combos mentioned above, at a quarter of the price.
