a year later i will now answer my own question. :D
it is a reasonably fast blade with no noticable difference between the two sides. Like all balsa blades, on soft contact it is very slow, but when you hit it harder, it goes. I found this to be a slight problem with the pips as i could not do a full stroke on the bh chop. It also wasn't the best blade for looping away from the table. The best thing about this blade was definatly it's amazing control when blocking at the table with both pips and inverted.

i dont think the speed ratings really matter unless its on the def/off category, but if you play with one thats all-/all+ for a while you might find subtle differences.

How long have you played with these blades? It takes a while to really rate blades.

Yes,
I am hopeing you have actually used some of these. i do not find much difference in the combi's sides. I think you tried to make one your self so you could have a better idea how good they are.
I made a few also and could tell a big difference with OX pips but very little with max inverted.
Most combi blades cost more than I want to pay.

the one ive found thats below 100$ is the hallmark aurora, which has a rating of off-/def+. even though i have never played with this, ( i havent even bought one blade yet!) i think the def and the off differ a little, so i think its worth spending money on. and it only costs 60$

So you have not bought this, nor have you tried it, yet you recommend the blade and you think they are worth the money?

We really appreciate people's input and advice here, but equipment is a serious issue for many people, and we try and maintain a high level of technical knowledge here, so it would be nice if you have some facts or experience with the equipment before you recommend it. :|
