Post subject:  Yinhe N11s or Stiga Allround Classic

Good day. I'm fairly new to this board. I would like to ask the people here is Yinhe N11s comparable to Stiga Allround Classic? And which should I buy. I want to tone down my game and go back to basics and get a more flexible blade. Anyone here has hit with both blades? Thank you in advance.

It's quite a bit faster. If you're looking for something similar try a Sanwei M8.

The Stiga Allround Classic appears quite a bit slower than both N11 and M8. It's a good choice for what you describe.

Unfortunately, its hard or no one locally sells Sanwei here in the Philippines and my options are the N11s and Allround Classic only. A shop here selld LKT instinct but i'd rather get a Yinhe or Stiga blade.

The Stiga blade is made in Sweden and the N11 in China, so generally you can expect higher quality from Sweden-made blades. If you want a more flexiable blade, the Stiga is the better choice.

You could mail order a Sanwei M8 from Aliexpress for USD8.90:

It's been a couple of years since I used a Stiga Allround Classic, and I haven't compared it back-to-back with an M8. But from memory the speed is similar. Not slow, and both have good feel and control. The M8 only comes with a flared handle (or Chinese penhold) and will probably be ~10 grams lighter than the Allround Classic.

Thanks Hangdog for your insight.

I have played with both, albeit a long wile ago.

Arc will be slower, flexier and also lighter. Slimmer handles too.

N series are quite stiff for all wood, quick too and more in the 85 to 90g range (arc are abt 80 average).

N series are really good quality for the money if they are what you want.

Eureka! Someone who have played with both rackets. If N11 is stiffer than Stiga AR does that mean that N11 is hard to loop with? I want a flexi blade and I am going to put a hard rubber. Speed is not an issue because I have fairly long strokes and I generate all my power, what I want is control and spin. I've been a penholder for the longest time and Ive shifted to a shakehands grip. N11 or Stiga AR will just be a training blade for me. Thanks So_devo

The N11 is so cheap, just get both. Then report back here your findings.

I used the N11 for over a year with H3 on the FH and a softer euro rubber on the BH, and it's a great looping blade, plenty of flex and decent speed for an all wood blade.

I would highly recommend it for what you're describing you want.
But I haven't used the other blade, so I comment on the difference between the two.
Buying both and comparing them yourself is the only way to know, but I'm sure either would be fine for you based on what you said about what you want.

I, too, have played with both. As I said, the N11 is quite a bit faster than the Stiga, both are excellent looping blades. The extra speed of the N11 manifests itself if you try to chop (or chop-block) with it. I've not been able to, though I can easily do it with the Stiga or with the M8. The N11 does also have a great, crisp flat hit.

Considering what they cost, why not buy both and try them out? Get a M8 as well, best $8.90 you've ever spent...
