We got some of these in OOAK Shop, they are new orange 3* plastic ABS balls from Yinhe, comes in a box of 10.

Note that these are NOT ITTF approved, but as such they're considerably cheaper. I don't know if they're seeking ITTF approval.

They look of good quality, they bounce well, no odd plastic sound either. I'll test them at the club on the weekend.

Although these may not be suitable for formal competition, they're probably just fine for local competition, especially in venues with white walls.

Hopefully this will be the start of more orange balls coming into the market.

They told me they're seeking ITTF approval. Not sure about using Huichuan or Yinhe's name.

They sell "Huichuan" blades at Eacheng, and list them under Yinhe, even though you don't see the Yinhe name on them anywhere. Maybe "Huichuan" is Yinhe's low-end brand? This is the new "Monkeyface" Huichuan, I have the older plain one.

I tried the balls, they're quite good, playing similar to other ABS balls. Compared to D40+, they feel a little lighter and don't sound as tinny, but spin and speed was similar. I do hope Yinhe will get ITTF approval for these, although I suspect that will increase the price significantly.

I bought a box though in white colour to try out. Out of 10 balls, 7 balls were the most uniform and 3 balls were not so good. If you spin the ball, at higher spin they go all wobbly and won't stay spinning in one spot. Based on a video of Dima and FZD selecting balls for semis- and finals- .
8) Not that I am that good at spotting poor quality balls from the good ones :-D
