I have heard some rumors about soft Tensors that they are best on flexible blades is this true ?
Im thinking about putting J.O. Silver on a off+ blade would that be a problem ?
I love the feel the silver has but need the pace of an off+ blade.
im developing a loop to loop style..
Comments please.

I've recently bought a slow flexy defensive blade. With skyline and a lot of glue it was unusable, no pace. Roxon made it perfect - I did go overboard with MAX but the tensor works amazingly well. On an OFF blade it would lethal IMO... way too fast

My Nimbus Soft is perfect on Mazunov. The only concern is the weight of Mazunov. Soft tensor with a too flexible blade will affect your short-game.

Soft rubbers are fit on OFF blades, medium rubbers are fit on ALL rubbers and hard rubbers are fit on DEF Blades. When you put a soft rubber on a ALL or DEF blade you will have to much catapult and too little control. Contrary with hard rubbers on fast blade you get great control but too little speed and catapult.

as a long pimple player with the fh being the emphasis of my decisions i try not too lose to much control on my bh. My pip for choice are usually friction with little sponge (0.5mm), and right now i use silver on max.....

Haha it does depend on the stroke, my treasure is usually LawOCG's garbage, that being a rule of thumb would be soft rubber/stiff blade.

Im intending to use JO Silver in the FH and Globe 999 1.5 in BH.
I hope this might be a winning combination..

Just put a Tango on my HK FH with the Neptune still on the BH. Feels pretty good on the training board. Going to try it tomorrow night at comp. I have my IQ glued and ready to go back on should the Tango be too hard to handle however. Have used Foss's trick of putting it on a sheet of waxy paper, so I can rip off the Tango and replace the IQ (just won't be able to clamp it for long if at all LOL).

hey RBTTE

you should give it a longer go than just have a hit to see how it feels unless you are playing comp... where you should play with what you are used to...unless again you dont mind losing a few times so that you get used to the tensor stuff.

it was interesting last night i played comp as a fill in player and was using both Joola tensors on my blade and a team mate asked me what rubbers i was using as it sounded really good and very controlled.
he asked if i glued up and i told him nope, thats how they are and i just take it out of the case and play.
he had a go and could not get the same effect or sound out of it... i think his stroke is somewhat more of an upward spin rather than a driving hit through shot... hence the lack of power/springiness.
i had a go with his glued up bryce fx and kreanga carbon and boy do i miss speed gluing!
the sound was huge and the shots were more powerful and more deadly!
once again, the tensor stuff is good but no where near as good as the glued up stuff! i really miss it even though it is a big hassle now i think of it...

I too would second what's said above. I've got a Coppa silver 2.0 sheet that I've tested on hard clipper, medium acoustic and flexible korbel and, imho, clipper takes it all. Now, it is very possible, that for your game, soft silver + flexible blade would match your expectations. It's, again and always, a very personal feeling and I'm afraid you will make sure by testing it personally... :(

My Viscaria is soft by still fairly stiff. Tensors work great on it. I play with JO Coppa Gold, which is a bit harder and stiffer than Silver. I used F1 before I discovered Coppa Gold, it was ok too, it is a bit softer than Silver.

What are the softest tensors?

I tried (BH) Energy Xtra 1.8 on a Kenny Pro and was surprised (relatively speaking it felt controlled, zippy enough, good spin) way more than Domination Tuned 1.5 on a Clipper (probably too thin is the problem, but the blade is miles harder and inflexible than kenny pro too).

Going to replace that on the Clipper but think I will need something extremely soft to balance it out. Probably not too fast either. Ideal sponge width about 1.9, no more than 2.0 tops.

Thanks

Desto F3 by Donic by far the softest.

I have JO Silver on my TSP Reflex 50 (Off) and that works very well. The Silver on my Wavestone (Off+) was a bit of a handful so I replaced them with Tango, and that feels about right.
