I have looked for people who tried this, and couldn't find anything. Is this such a terrible idea that noone even bothered to talk about it, or are there rubbers like these for sale as a whole package?

Anyways does anyone have any idea what would happen?

No, much much slower as the reflectiod isn't really slow. I mean a topsheet like that, with a sponge often seen on anti rubbers.

Reflectoid is pretty slow, maybe you got a bad sheet. Did you get it in 1.5?

If you want to make it yourself, you can find dampening sponges and inverted topsheets. Try ColesTT.com

I made a thread about this quite awhile ago. Didn't get any responses, so not sure a rubber exists like that so far. Probably has to be custom fitted, get an inverted sheet and custom sponge attached.

Again, you should also try for the Caoutchuk Spray to enhance traction on the topsheet.
