I use Butterfly Free Chack and love it.

Last time I got careless and let some dry on the playing side of my rubber (I use Sanwei Target National rubber). I can't roll or rub it off. Anyone have this happen?

Many thanks.

Thats water based isn't it?I take it that water failed, I'd normally use Spinmax ,other than that meths or lighter fluid are used in the print trade to remove adhesives on substrates and wont harm the rubber.

I don't use the Free chack before, bu the Donic Vario rubs off quite easily, as do a few others I've tried, so I'm surprised yours does not. How long has it dried for?

I've had glue dry on the rubber surface before and not been able to get it off. I threw the sheet away, and have taken more time and care gluing since then.

Unfortunately, I think this may be the case for me.

I may try the lighter fluid before removing it, since I'm going to end up throwing the sheet away anyway.

But - lesson learned.

I'm surprised we don't see more of these comments. I hope others who use Free Chack see this and post. The photo shows the damage to the rubber.

Thanks for your help.

Two things.

It does not look as though the glue is an a particularly awkward place. It would be covered by my forefinger, because red is always my BH.

Probably a few hours of use will wear it off anyway.

In any case, I don't think that the rubber would be subject to an umpire's complaint.

DRX, it is YOUR show, however you want the tune. You should be able to rub it off by now. It isn't in a bothersome spot anyway, but it is YOUR setup and your show.

Oh come on.. the chances of the ball hitting the ball hitting the rubber there is miniscule. Especially since that's more or less where you put your index finger. Why throw it away? If you don't want to use it in tournaments you can drill with it. If the glue was in the middle of the sheet, that'd be another matter.

You are all correct. It should not affect play in any way. Unfortunately, there is another spot higher on the blade I did not photograph.

And no amount of rubbing will ever get this off-trust me I tried.

BUT, the lighter fluid worked!!! And no visible effect on the rubber.

Used a clean rag, applied the fluid and had to rub the spots on the blade quite firmly, but it all eventually came off. Thanks dazzler!
