Post subject:  need advice on long pips of choice

hello... im just new here, i just want some advice on which long pips should suit my game...

i just changed from inverted a month or so, because i think my bh is more on a blocking stroke, more of a passive block on loops... im trying to pushblock/chopblock, side swiping on some returns for variations.... i play mostly close to the table...

i planned to use a clipper for my blade but ended up with a dhs pg7 as it gives confident loops on fh, and a dawei 388d on a 0.5-0.6 sponge at bh... it does work actually, but occasionally it feels less control as balls drops to the net (maybe my stroke, dunno...)

must be insensitive to spin, good control, disturbing/funky, ive read threads regarding topics like this, and these are the pips im considering and really need expert advice...

bomb talent ox red
palio ck 531a ox red
giant dragon talon ox red
meteor 8512 ox red
globe 979 ox red
dawei 388d/388d-1 ox red

thanks in advace... peace

Talon OX is good for passive blocking.

Globe 979 OX is better for chop blocking.

I'm a long pipper who's tried a dozen rubbers. If you're playing close to the table, go with ox in whatever you choose. I'd recommend D Tecs or Talon (I seemed to do better with D Tecs). Watched a penholder tonight who had 979 ox on his backhand and handled fast spinny loops well. But consider, given your stroke, where your missed shots go. If they go long, consider a softer pip, like Viper or, for really soft, Twister. If they go into the net, change your angle, and add a bit more power.
