I wouldn't bother. Too much effort to rip apart premades, especially given the quality of the blade and rubber.

+1 Silver. Did it many a time in the past. Hard work and very time consuming. Not worth the effort considering the quality of premades.

regular bats are easy to pull apart due to the glue used, so its not difficult.

Premades really just aren't worth the time and effort - low grade blade construction combined with cheap rubbers stuck together with something resembling liquid nails...

If you REALLY need to, there is a fairly safe method someone posted in these formums a while ago:
Pull off the rubber with the sponge as good as you can.
Use a large spiral drill bit (1/2" / 12mm ++) to remove the rest of the sponge. Press the side of the bit against the blade and scrape off residue sponge/glue.

The spiral trace of the drill bit has sharp edges, and the cylindrical shape will prevent those edges from digging into the wood. The shape does not protect soft surfaces like the sponge or your hands. Use gloves or other protection to avoid cuts.

I actually do a bit of this. Kids come to me with their old paddles and I help them to change the rubber. I have some cheap 729 and Reactor rubbers in store (paid around $7 a pair for them, I think. That is what I ask in return, anyway.) Personally I use a wide wood chisel on the cheap blades. I can afford ruining one or two. Should damage ever happen, I can give the kid a better blade and an apology. The chisel is a lot faster to work with.

If I were to remove something which had been accidentally "properly" glued onto a good blade, I'd find a drill bit and a pair of good working gloves...

Lisa, order one of these.

I guarantee it will play much better than any pre-made you will find in department stores or on Amazon. And when the time comes to change the rubber, it comes right off with no fuss.

Use the sole of an old shoe and rub hard. I found a toddlers sneaker to be good. Still takes a long time though. I swore I'd never do it again.
