What are some of the best tips you've received (or given) about table tennis equipment?

It can be anything, for example rubber/blade/accessories recommendation, gluing tips, cleaning tips, etc.

What's your best tip?

1. "Try before you buy" - remember though the same rubber on different blades can feel different.
2. Rubbers come and go, they can last a few weeks to a couple of years. Blades last a life time. Get the blade right and you have a friend for life.

Top tip, I agree :up: :up:

I would add that players need to try it in an actual game. Fast blades tend to feel great in a hit-up or practice, but control won't show until you test it in a game.
