Post subject:  For inverted chopping rubber
Is there a rubber that is Sticky, I can hit it very hard into it, Goes foreward with a simple downward motion, returns the ball relatively medium-high, and safe

Currently, I am using Globe 999 (1.3 sponge), and i want to chop really hard with a downward motion, but it just doesnt go foreward that much and it goes back VERY LOW.
I need to readjust with a more vertical with slightly under the ball motion to get the ball just to get the ball over and really bring the ball foreward.

To be honest, it sounds like you're trying to fix a technique problem by changing your equipment (trust me, I've been there too!). I would suggest sticking to a setup for a while and getting some coaching and practice with chopping and flat hitting. After that, you may consider using a slightly thicker sponge in the 1.5-1.8mm range.

I agree with Joo.

But...and this is a big "but" I have had some blade/rubber combos that have throw so low, it's absurd. The Donier Defensive blade was great, but the throw was so low the technique change would have been HUGE. So, can you please share with us your setup and level?

Sure, my set up is Globe 999 1.3mm and Friendship 755 0.5mm LP. I am also currently using Butterfly Defense X.

My level of play is like 600 in canada.
So... to translate :

This is two years ago.

Perhaps my technique is wrong? I am chopping too hard?
Does it look wrong?

Nothing wrong with Your technique,

That Chinese Style chopping AKA Ding Song or Wu Yang Style chops with extra follow through. I love Your style. ;)

The ball launch shallow on the chop, because the rubber blade combination is very spinny/grippy.

You could try less spinny rubber with a harder blade (Defence X is a spiritual successor of Defence Alpha, a soft willow blade) to make Your chop more perpendicular to incoming ball.

I suggest to change one at the time, blade first* using Your current rubber, and then rubber.

*Friends here may disagree with blade first approach, because change in blade is more radical in feel than change in rubber. This the very reason though, because higher launch on chop would force His chop to become more perpendicular and later to incoming ball, shaping His style closer to Japanese Style chopping.
