Post subject:  J-Pen Thickness -- Effect on play style?

Recently I've been investigating buying a Cypress Japanese pen hold blade. I know I want the blade to be 1-ply, and I would like the thickness to be between 9-11mm. My question is: Between thicknesses 9 mm and 11 mm, does the blade change all that much? For example, The butterfly Senkoh-1 is 9mm thick, and the TSP Dynam is 10.5 mm thick. Would there be a noticeable difference in these blades, if I were to pair them with the same rubber?

As the great warrior poet Ice Cube once said; "If the day does not require an AK, it is good."

I'm pretty sure 10.5 is much faster than 9 based on my experience with Rsm gmax (10) and cypress jp ii (9).

The cypress with sriver el played like a light cpen with one rubber. It may need a tensor...
