What is a recommended blade for good blocking, that still has enough flex to preduce decent topspin. Topspin is, however not the highest priority. I want something that transfers vibration to my hand when I block or hit the ball, allowing good enough control to place shots. This sounds like an expensive blade, but is there anything that matches these characteristics decently, in the $60 and under price range? I’ve been looking at some of the Tibhar Samsonov and Force blades.

I reckon your description fits dozens of blades in the all-off range.

Before answering,

I should remind You that,

Blocking and looping demand opposite kind of blade,

Which means,

Slow hard stiff blade like Hallmark Aurora Class are excellent for blocking but poor at looping, too little dwell time,

Fast soft flexible blade like Nittaku Miyabi Class are excellent for looping but too spin sensitive for blocking.

Combi of those means compromise, and belong to All Rounder Jack of All Trades. The good news, They also known to have great control. :)

These are my recommendation for those allrounder blades.

Nexy Spear
Nittaku Acoustic Carbon Inner Large Handle
Xiom Vega Euro
Andro Temper Tech OFF-
Nittaku Alulass
Andro Kinetic Supreme ALL+
JOOLA Rosskopf Emotion
Galaxy Venus V-12
Xiom Vega Pro
Nittaku Redshank
Donic Crest AR+
Butterfly Timo Boll W5
JOOLA Aruna OFF
JOOLA Fever
Butterfly Korbel SK7
Butterfly Viscaria Light

Hi,

I assembled a new setup, just 3 days back ...

    XVT Hinoki Blasa Carbon Blade
    Friendship Focus 3 Snipe
    CTT National Pogo OX LP

The XVT blade, has been quite a revelation... It's superb at blocking, and has a dampening effect.

For offence, I feel I can smash better with this, on both, FH & BH (Using the Focus 3 Snipe)... Looping, did need some technique adjustment...

Oh, and the blade weighs just 64gms...

All-in-All, taking into consideration price:performance, I'm pretty impressed with this blade.

The faster TSP balsa blades with the right rubber are also brilliant blocking blades.

For aggressive but controlled blocks a TSP 5.0, 5.5 or even 6.5 with Xiom Musa 2mm would be pretty good. Adding medium soft tensors is great for blocking but can be too bouncy on pushes, chops etc due to the balsa effect.

Hello , Kokutaku Blutenkirche Ice&Fire Combi , cheap wood , i use it with Spinlord DornenGlanz ox and Yasaka Rakza 7 2.0 mm, speed on forehand 8, speed on backhand 5 , a good cheap blade for those who loves pimples and forehand loop!

Try one of these...

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/SANWEI- ... 84830.html

WHOA... PRICE DROP ALERT. $6.50 INCLUDING SHIPPING. Or $5.85 each if you buy two or more. If you're looking to make up a few club bats, here's your chance - these plus some sheets of Reactor Corbor…

Looks like they ran out of the bat covers, though.. maybe that's why the price drop.

In my opinion these are the best feeling ALL to ALL+ blades I've tried, and it's a bonus that they're this cheap.
