Has anyone here had any experience with taking a risk and buying something off of a random website such as Eacheng and having it pay off? I was talking with a friend who bought a PALIO Energy 03 off of Eacheng and described the $10 blade as a “hidden gem”. My question is: what blades have people on this site taken a chance on and bought, that turn out to be worth it? worth it? Thank you in advance for your contributions.

I wouldn't class Eacheng as a random website. There is plenty of discussion about it on here. Things however can take a long time to arrive, my longest was nearly 7 weeks, but they do arrive. Service is quite good, they try to be accommodating and answer emails in a reasonable time.

What blades are hidden gems is another issue. Iskandar swears by the Sanwei M8.

Eacheng is not a random website in my book too. Have made many standard purchases from Eacheng over the years and have not had any issues with my orders or deliveries. I have heard and read positive things about the PALIO Energy 03 and as for the Sanwei M8 - just ask Iskandar as Cobalt rightly points out.
