Funny store (in hindsight  ). I was gluing a bat together for someone, with some sheets of 729 Higher.

Everything went well, except that once I put the rubber sheet onto the blade, I noticed a wide but feint bubble in the rubber near the handle of the blade. Now sometimes you can just push this down, or it's gone after clamping, but for some reason I could not make this one disappear!

A little annoyed, I pulled off the sheet, cleaned off the glue from both the blade & rubber, and glued it again. This time I made sure that both surface were 100% flat, and I layed the sheet carefully to ensure there would be no bubble. I pushed it down again, clamped it, but the bubble was back! :o :o :o

Convinced that this time it wasn't something I did during gluing, I deduced that it must be a faulty sheet, where the topsheet was loose from the sponge.
A little more annoyed at wasting a sheet, I grabbed another one, and proceeded to glue this, again taking special care to make sure this was the last time I'd have to glue it. So I glued and clamped it, and there was bubble again!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Convinced that it wasn't something I did, and that the chance of a bubble within two different sheets, in exactly the same spot, was virtually zero, I pulled the sheet off, and inspected everything VERY carefully... and then I spotted it.... there was a slight bump on the blade!
After looking more closely, I noticed that the out ply of the blade was very thin, and it had clearly come loose. Pushing it down made it pop in the adjacent area... so this was the first time I've seen a bubble in the blade!
