Hi community :)

Intro:
I have a coach, who has experience with anti and pimpled rubbers. It is pretty rare in our country that's why as a beginner I started learning from him (as much and as fast as possible. I like to experiment with unusual things in disciplines, I'm learning. Pimped rubbers have a lot of pros I'm able to see from the beginning, but that's whole another topic, who knows where and when in the future exists other possibility to learn TT, but for sure it would be easier to find coach, who teaches invertedq. That's why I already started trying/playing those "unorthodox" rubbers myself). He could give advice with regards to equipment (mostly from russian/ukranian communities), but in order to widen knowledge in the field, I'd like to hear from you as well :)

Setup used recently: VKM, Victas VS > 401 1.8, Curl P4 OX (in the past month)
Feedback: that VKM setup felt pretty hard (both sides) for me,

that's why I tried to switch FH rubbers from another setup I have (Nittaku Resist II, Xiom Vega Intro 2.0, Yasaka Antipower 2.0). During that switch I messed with Xiom Rubber (tried to reglue it more than once and after that scratched glue from the rubber too much, which resulted in small craters on the sponge).
Until pips setup is reanimated
I play with: Nittaku Resist II, VS 401, Antipower
That setup gives much more control compared to VKM. The next thing I did is I ordered another rubber LKT Pro XP of max thickness. I thought it will make VKM softer (note: it did not shipped yet).

Could you please clarify below questions:
    1. Do you have similar experience with setup with OX hardness feeling (e.g. with VKM or any other hard blade)?
    2. Will the thickness of FH rubber (LKT Pro XP) affect softness of VKM the way I expect?
    3. Will that combo (VKM, LKT, Curl P4) work out for beginners or max thickness in that context is not a good idea (as suggested almost everywhere in beginner's tt tips?
    4. Is trying to reglue pips to Nittaku is a good idea?
    5. Should I simply stick to Nittaku setup (VS 401, Antipower) for now (because it gives the most control)?

Experience (with coach): 3 month;
Sessions frequency: ~4 times (~6hr total) per week;
Style (I'm trying to learn): blocker;

Notes:
1. I understand that those issues are far from actual learning of tt discipline, but that part of the tt universe is very interesting as well, that's why I'm experimenting :)
2. Highlighted with bold things I'm interested mostly;

Thanks,

The more you play the less you notice minor differences in feeling.
I suggest you decide either LPs or anti and do not intermix them in training.
Equipment choice is less important then you may think.
